Debbie Castagna

To work with Debbie Castagna in a consulting capacity, or to hear her speak, is to understand why she is one of the dental industry's most successful and highly respected members.

Debbie began her career as a registered dental assistant, followed by teaching Dental Auxiliary Utilization at the University of the Pacific. She began her consulting and speaking career in 1990. Along with business partner, Virginia Moore, she is co-owner of The Practice Source, a company that provides dental practice management consulting services and also publishes practical, results-oriented dental practice management training materials, including THE DOCTOR AS CEO and THE ULTIMATE STAFF.

In 2006, Debbie and partner Virginia Moore co-founded The Consulting U, an intensive 'Masters' training program designed to instruct and mentor other management consultants - whether experienced or just starting out - to take their consulting businesses to a higher level of success and profitability.

As a speaker, Debbie's passion and commitment to her work is evident. She has been a featured presenter at, among others, the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, FDI World Congress, Thomas P Hinman, Chicago Midwinter and Greater New York Meetings, as well as many other state and local organizations and groups. In 2008 some of the organizations she will speak for include the Yankee Dental Congress, California Dental Association, Star of the North, and Sacramento District Dental Society.  

Debbie has authored numerous articles for industry publications, including Dental Economics, Dental Tribune International, Dental Products Report, and the California Dental Association Journal. She was recognized by Dentistry Today as a "Leader in Consulting" in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. She is also a member of The National Speakers Association, and the current President of the Academy of Dental Management Consulting.
